Hi there,

I'll be spending the month of June in Los Angeles, and I would like to attend some theatre while I am out there. Does anyone have any recommendations of shows or theatre companies to check out?

I?ve been watch the advertisements here on BWW? Has anyone seen Marry Me a Little and The Last Five Years at East West Players? https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/Photo_Flash_EWPs_MARRY_ME_A_LITTLE_And_THE_LAST_FIVE_YEARS_Extend_Until_621_20090508
The tickets are a little pricy (for me, I?m a college student), I?m wary to pay $50.

How about the Blank Theatre Company?s Young Playwrights Festival?

It sounds intriguing, but are the plays typically pretty mature? I don?t want to sit through a bunch of teen dramas.

Any info or suggestions that you all could give would be extremely helpful!

Hi,

There is an LA theater board here...have you checked it out?

If so, I wish I could help you, but I don't have any more info beyond that link.

Go register at Goldstar LA and list Los Angeles. They will give you half price or other discounts to most shows playing in LA and will give you a description. You will also be able to read what readers thought of the event.
If you already have Goldstar just change your city to LA

As for the Young Playwrights festival it is always a hit or miss but a great program. Just depends on the talent and what they have to offer.
