LA Theatre May 18 2009, 07:23:29 PM
Hi there, I'll be spending the month of June in Los Angeles, and I would like to attend some theatre while I am out there. Does anyone have any recommendations of shows or theatre companies to check out? I?ve been watch the advertisements here on BWW? Has anyone seen Marry Me a Little and The Last Five Years at East West Players? http://broadwayworld.com/article/Photo_Flash_EWPs_MARRY_ME_A_LITTLE_And_THE_LAST_FIVE_YEARS_Extend_Until_621_20090508 The tickets are a little pricy (for me, I?m a college student), I?m wary to pay $50. How about the Blank Theatre Company?s Young Playwrights Festival? http://broadwayworld.com/article/Blank_Theatres_Young_Playwrights_Festival_Chooses_12_Winning_Plays_Begins_64_20090518 It sounds intriguing, but are the plays typically pretty mature? I don?t want to sit through a bunch of teen dramas. Any info or suggestions that you all could give would be extremely helpful! -Chris
