LA Theatre

Hi there,
I'll be spending the month of June in Los Angeles, and I would like to attend some theatre while I am out there. Does anyone have any recommendations of shows or theatre companies to check out?

The tickets are a little pricy (for me, I?m a college student), I?m wary to pay $50.
How about the Blank Theatre Company?s Young Playwrights Festival?

It sounds intriguing, but are the plays typically pretty mature? I don?t want to sit through a bunch of teen dramas.

Musicals with kids?

Hi everyone,
I need some suggestions.
My college hosts a student run summer theatre season every year, and last year due to a loss of funding, we were told that we needed to make a certain amount of money off of our ticket sales to keep the program going.
We did this by doing a big musical (Joseph) and using a ton of area children. Their parents bought tickets to all of the performances, and many of them invested in tickets for the rest of the season because they
