LBB Interview

The whole story is on playbill.com
She is talking about WICKED here for any of you who wanted this info:

Q: When does your Wicked run end?
LBB: I leave August 8.

Q: A lot of people thought you would be take over for Kristin Chenoweth when she left the role. What happened with that casting?
LBB: It's a long story. I was offered the role, and, basically, we couldn't come to mutually agreeable terms, so I had to pass.

Q: Were you disappointed?
LBB: Of course I was disappointed — it was one of those things that when you foresee yourself taking over a role, you kind of see how the next six months of your life are going to be, and you get that in your head and then you plan accordingly. But when something goes wrong and you've got to change your plan, it kind of jars up everything. It would have been a great time for me — I would have loved to have done the role, but I also feel like the role will always be Kristin Chenoweth's role, and I would rather have the opportunity — instead of having to stay at something for nine months and not being able to leave at any point — to create something else or at least have the opportunity to do that if it comes along.

I'm so glad that's settled, I've been losing so much sleep over this. (insert sarcasm here).

re: LBB Interview

Yay !! Al Dente wins the fastest to the sarcasm post contest !!!

I was waiting for someone to post something sarcastic, and you beat everyone else to it !!!

I really can not understand why some people just can not help themselves from posting something sarcastic, rather than just skipping past a thread that does not interest them??

(insert eye roll here)

re: LBB Interview

And you wonder why I don't post as frequently. Here is your reason. I don't want to be anywhere where there is an utter and complete lack of humour! LBB is not performing heart transplant surgery, she's talking about a stand-by role in a fluffy musical. Perspective people, perspective! Get over it and move on. I'll post on any thread I wish to. Last time I checked, it was still a free country. (insert middle finger here).

re: LBB Interview

Wow... and so mature too !! I think that the board has plenty of humor. There are a ton of threads that are funny...but I think you are confusing humor with sarcasm. If you dont care about the "fluffy" musical, why not just ignore the thread?

Thanks for the finger too. Thats humerous, dont ya think? A grown person giving someone the finger on a message board. Doesnt get much funnier !!!

Since you brought it up, Testing, the "humerus" is the arm bone that extends from the shoulder to the elbow! Not the finger.

And an eyeroll is the absolute height of Silent Sarcasm. So be careful when you point phalanges!

Namo,

Thanks so much for the correction !! Greatly appreciated !!

Feel better now? Actually, you are late. I thought that you might be the first to post something sarcastic on this thread, but Al beat ya to it.

re: LBB Interview

Well, damn. All my favorite men being sarcastic and flippin' the bird in one small thread I almost didn't open because I didn't think I'd find anything of interest. Who knew?

re: lbb Interview

Al Dente? Being sarcastic? rude? Some people clearly have a little too much free time.

re: lbb Interview

back on topic ... i like how she says they couldn't work some things out - like how she thought she deserved more money than Idina. Right.

re: lbb Interview

Actually, to be fair, nowhere does it say she was asking for what Idina made OR more....
