How are the third level balcony seats?

I am making a trip up to New York, and I already got tickets for GREY GARDENS and MARY POPPINS (for my mom). I am going to try to squeeze in a matinee of LEGALLY BLONDE. I was just wondering how the $40 third level balcony seats are. Thanks!

I heard they're REALLY high, so if you're afraid of heights, don't get them.

On this subject, how are the third level balcony seats for MARY POPPINS?

Well, I just got on Ticketmaster and found some $85 mezzanine tickets. Those should be fine... except for this shipping price.

Does anyone like to print their tickets? That's a choice given that is only $2.50.

Even though it's really rediculous, I prefer shipping my tickets because I like to have them as a souvenir.

Well, the shipping cost like $14 for the lowest price, and I wasn't about to pay that.

I sat in the third level for Legally Blonde a few weeks ago, three rows away from the top. I would have been miserable if I'd paid much money for those seats.
The usher showed me the mat that the dog would run to when he came on stage. Good thing, I might have missed it if I didn't focus on it and lean over too.
It was a fun show, but there's nothing like a good seat.

You can't see anything from the balcony at all. Everyone looked like ants. As, kafkaeque said, it's a fun show, but you're better to enjoy it from the mezzanine or orchestra, no matter how cheap or expensive the seats are.

A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

BroadwayEnthusiast: I recently sat in the balcony seats at Mary Poppins. Are you looking to buy the $20 tickets? If so, I'd say it's worth it. Is it high? Yeah, it is. You cannot see facial expressions that well, but you get to see the whole picture, and it is really beautiful on stage. The slight downfall is the thin pipes that run across the balcony. If your towards the back, there might be one in your line of view. It actually didn't take away from the show for me, especially because they were so thin. It's worth it if your looking to spend minimal bucks to get in the show.

I went to the TKTS booth and I got tickets for the upper mezzanine. It is really high and/but the seats are really steep so you won't have a head blocking your view. You can see the entire stage but not not the facial expressions of the actors. It's a fun show so it's fun just to watch...even from a distance.

millie_dillmount, i wanted to see poppins as sort of an extra show, i dont want to spend that much on it. so, yeah, ill probably end up doing that. aren't there also 40 dollar seats?

There are $40 seats for MP, but they are not that much further (or even that much better) than the last two balcony rows, so I'd rather spend $20 a ticket.

personally, I would get the 20 dollar seats on the right hand side, not too fa over though, and if the people in the front row leave at intermssion, sit there. I sat in the front row on the right hand side for when Mary flies. IT WAS SOOO COOL. She was literally right infront of us. But for Legally blonde, I have seats in the front row center of the balcony. Are they good?

Front row center in the balcony for Legally Blonde? I think the Palace balcony should be avoided, I sat there for Lestat and had such a case of vertigo like I have never experienced in a theatre ever- we ended up moving down to the orch after those folks left during intermission. Ymmv, though.

I sat in the 1st row of the balcony on a Sat. nite 5/19 for what I think was 41.50.
IMHO, it couldn't have worked out better; no, I didn't see their faces but all else was fine.
