"I think that she carried the show through it all. You knew she was the star and the show needed to revolve around her. She took the role through a growth change. Sheridan played the entire show like a 12 year old girl. She wasn't that impressive when I saw her. "
I do also think Elle needs to show growth and realization by the end. I am not a huge LBB fan either but I agree about that point. Sheridan may have grown since you have seen her. I remember watching the workshops for LBTM in NY with Jerry Mitchell and she worked very hard on getting the character down.
MisterMatt- I agree with Aoife too. she is a real powerhouse.
I think that even if we are disappointed that this specific show is getting two recordings instead of other shows, we have to remember that if this recording does well, other producers are more likely to follow suit. I'm fine with my OBCR of this show, but I'll want to buy this version to listen to other people's takes on the roles.
By a "live" recording, do they mean the whole show? Or will it be like the CD of the Chess concert that aired on PBS last summer? Are they recording from the soundboard and mixing tracks from the different nights?
