I just had to say that I finally was able to buy the cd. I am so mad I have not bought it before this but money.... well you do not want to know about my personal life.
Okay so now I have to tell you this....
If He Never Said Hello is the best song on the cd and I cried the three times I have played it.
This is a great companion cd to It's No Secret Anymore.
I must must must recommend this cd to anyone.
agree completely... This is a great album.

(hoping that the new Jackie Mason musical flops so Camille Claudel can be in the Brooks Atkinson theatre like Variety said. Its an AMAZING show!)

Question, she sings "storybook" again.
is this a remake of the song or exactly the same song taken from the original concept album of pimpernel.
meaning does linda do the rachel york version where she belts the french part or does it start to fade as she softly sings the french part...?
because on her broadway my way cd she re-recorded a new life, you ca totally tell it's not just transfered from the jeckyll broadway cast. she went in and re-recorded it in the studio. her breathing and dramatic pausing is slightly different in some places.

This album has mostly new stuff. Some of the songs that are on the album were totally redone and remixed as she was not happy with them. It was done in the linear notes. She also has some new material in there. About half, I believe.
As for Storybook, she does that whole song. And it is remixed. I like it alot.
I can't seem to get enough of Vol Mon Ange. It's so beautiful and presents a side of Linda that is so unique. I'm also in love with "If He Never Said Hello." I haven't stopped listening to this album since I picked it up on its release day.

I know I would buy one for everyone I know.

She is on tour next year or something. She is coming to my hometown. It is her Broadway and Beyond show.
Linda voice never ceases to amaze me. Her rendition of "Don't Rain On My Parade" gives me chills.
Hey Jon and all:
If you get a chance, go to upcoming releases-->view recent releases. You can post your own review for Linda's new CD (or any other)!

REALLY? But mine would just be drooling gushing comments. I do not know if I could form clear and smart sentences. I would be like a kid at a Backstreet Boys concert.
Kool! Radical! Sweet! Awesome! Stuff like that.

Gushing like a little school girl is perfectly fine. I just want someone to write a review on a CD. Any CD. AT ALL!!!

I haven't heard Linda's new album yet :c( but I did just get her Broadway, My Way cd and it's great. All the songs were recorded again for that CD and if any songs on her new album are ones that have already been recorded she did re-record them for the new CD. Linda never skimps out on her fans! :c)
I have the PBS show on tape. I bought it just before they discontinued it (that had to be the stupidest thing PBS ever did). I hope Camille comes out to L.A. one day with Linda still in it! I think she's going to tour a bit starting in December...christmas music and stuff.
I love Linda Eder and she is just one of the nicest people ever...along with Frank! As some have said before I could sit and listen to her sing a phone book ;c)

You are right- Linda Eder never skimps on her fans and her new CD Storybook is gorgeous! It is a collection of songs recorded over the last ten years- many new releases. What amazes me about Linda is how she versitile she is. She can belt a big band tune(One Bad Habit) and sing an old standard (Smile, All The Way) with suttle warmth and on the next track blow you away with a gorgeous big ballad (Let Him Fly). There are so many excellent tracks on this CD but it is worth buying just for "If He Never Said Hello" & "Let Him Fly."

P.U.!!!!! All this CD is is rehash of stuff we bought before. I am sooooo tired of Frank Wildhorn. Linda PLEASE find another songwriter who is worthy of your magnificent voice.

Ugh...you guys make me want to spend money I don't have! :c) (minus some of the not so good responses) Linda is always worth it though ;c)
We gotta remember guys that during all the recordings for the last 2 CD's they were all working on a musical that they do want on Broadway...give 'em a break. I'm just happy that we got 2 CD's this year, plus she toured at the beginning, and now (for those lucky east coast people) she's in a musical again!!

Yes, but why put out stuff we already have- that we already enjoy? Frank's work sounds so repetative. So many similarities over the years. He's talented within reason- there is just so much of a particular genre. linda needs to branch out if she's going to make it bigger than she already is. Please don't get me wrong- I LOVE her. She is a fantastic perfomer- I just want to see her expand her repertoire.
can't review Linda's CD...but did review her latest concert at Lenape, Marlton NJ. http://www.talkinbroadway.com/regional/phil
Shhhsss..don't tell Rob I dropped the TB link ...again.
Make no mistke...I'm a big fan of Linda since her pre- Brd'w appearance. Having seen her several times in J&H & concerts, I can honestly say she is "THE VOICE". But there's so much more to concerting and stage performances.
I've interviewed a dozen Bd'w actors who willingly admit that you NEVER stop learning and improving in this business, lest you grow stale ...or die!
