As for your silly "accusation" - No. I am not related to anyone in the cast, crew or anything. But you knew that already...

Thanks for the link to the pix. Though this wasn't a show I'd have chosen to see on Broadway because of the competition, I'm thrilled and delighted to be seeing it in Orange County on Sept. 13, as I really like the score a lot. I'm sure the new cast will be excellent. And it's good to see that a non-Equity tour can be a springboard for a young and talented performer like Miss Brna. (What happened to the middle vowel in her last name?)

Here's a cool little story about Renee (and I've asked her about the vowel thing myself )
She went to UNLV for a bit and decided to transfer to Pittsburg for college. SHe got all the way there and within a week decided she didn't want school. It wasn't the place for her. So she up and left school and moved straight to NY. Then after a series of odd jobs and what not she got the Mac-Haydn Theatre thing and eventually found her way to the Oklahoma Tour. While at Mac-Haydn she was only supposed to be ensemble for the shows. Well they loved and cast her as Magnolia in Showboat which was huge for her. Funny how things work. If she had liked the school none of this would have ever happened. This was all decided at the age of 19 for her. In less than two years after quitting college and moving to NY she has her first Equity National Tour!

I saw Kate Fischer as Eliza in My Fair Lady at Syracuse Stage while I was visiting in May. She did not strike me as having a belty voice, but maybe its because the part she was doing did not call for that. She did act the hell out of the part though. I fell asleep during the moments she was not on stage.

Not sure if I will see this when it comes to DC as I saw it on Broadway, but I might.

personally, I am sick of familiar names. There is a lot of talent out there, why do we have to see the same people over and over again?

I am sure someone probably said.."Sutton foster as Millie? Why don't they get a familiar name to do that role?"

or, "who is cheyanne jackson? shouldn't they get a name to try to sell ALll Shook up?"

its nice to find new talent in the world.

Patronus, the OCPAC usually does not have rush tickets, but that mostly depends on the day. So I would call the day of and see but your best bet would be to just buy tickets. I know this because I have done a lot there, seeing shows, performing in concerts, and so on.

Do shows usually sell out there? I'm probably gonna drive up from Vegas but I'm not sure on the day yet.

I was hoping to avoid full price on this one because the show doesn't thrill me musically.

Maybe Goldstar Events will put out a coupon for discout tickets like they did for Little Shop.

I think we just decided we are going to the Sept 18th matinee. We are driving up after my show closes Sat. night, seeing the show Sunday and leaving after to get me home for school on Mon. You should go the same day! Maybe we can catch an early dinner after the show before we drive out.

Shows at the OCPAC usually sell well but there are always some seats left in tier 3, nosebleed seats but they are pretty good, and you can probably get them the day of. the tickets are not that much either, like 40 or so.

No problem. have a great time and be prepared for a hike up a butt load of stairs if you get tier 3 seats. But if you try to get better seats, I would recommend tier 1 on the right side. The stage is pretty high up so in the front orchestra, your neck gets tired, but tier one is good or middle orchestra is good. Sorry tangent.
