The Original LSOH Cast was AMAZING.
The Tour cast is good, but not as the OBC!
re: LSOH#3
Posted: 8/26/04 at 7:50pmThe closest performance area to me is about an hour away, is it worth the drive? I love the OBC and the cast for the tour sounds phenomenal.

Posted: 8/26/04 at 7:56pmThe revival cast was one of the most flawless Ive ever seen. Douglas Sills deserved a Tony nod for his wonderful performance as Orin as well as Kerry for her excellent, perfectly sung and acted performance as Audrey.
re: LSOH#6
Posted: 8/26/04 at 7:59pmseems like I'm always praising Douglas Sills on these boards - couldn't agree more! He was exceptional as Orin, and I loved Kerry in this show. I'm really looking forward to the tour when it hits the Philadelphia area.

Yes I wish they would post tour pictures soon...I wanna see Anthony in costume...I adore Anthony Rapp and from what I've heard he's amazing in the role! I can't wait to see it when it comes here next year...of course i'm like 3rd to last stop on the tour...but I'll be patient!

Do they ever come to NJ?
I live in NYC, and i REALLY want to see the tour!
re: LSOH#9
Posted: 8/26/04 at 8:55pmOMG, this thread was the first time I've heard anyone praise Kerry Butler as Audrey! lol (ok, I'm exaggerating a little, but still) I've seen video clips of her, and she seemed good to me. And I love the new cast recording, especially her. I never did quite get why people didn't like her, or why LS was snubbed so badly at the Tonys.

I can't wait to see this tour.
Douglas Sills and Kerry Butler were both so great and were snubbed by the Tony people (not even a nomination). Liked Hunter but he had a cold the day I saw him.
Can't wait to see Anthony (his version of "The Kite" was the first big solo I ever performed in a real show)
re: LSOH#12
Posted: 8/26/04 at 11:38pmOh, there's a group at my school just waiting for the Pittsburgh tickets to go on sale. I absolutely can't wait!

BroadwayAcrossAmerica.com does not have all of the dates. Just cities that are a part of the program.
So check out www.travelinbroadway.com!
I think I am gonna have to take a road trip to Cincinnati to see this show!

Posted: 8/26/04 at 11:41pmventicelli, you cannot praise Douglas Sills enough. I dont think I would want to see anyone as Orin after him... he was incredible.
re: LSOH#16
Posted: 8/27/04 at 1:34amI'm going when it comes to baltimore..I stole the door posters! yay!
re: LSOH#17
Posted: 8/27/04 at 2:16amyay for you you have a little shop of horrors door poster.. (okay.. ?!?!?!?!?!?!?)
re: LSOH#18
Posted: 8/28/04 at 12:01amI agree with all of you about Douglas Sills. The man was absolutely hilarious! I also prefer Kerry Butler's "Audrey" to Ellen Greene's. The first time Kerry began to sing, I was absolutely blown away. I am a huge Hunter Foster fan as well. I was rooting for him for the Tony's. I really wish that I could see the tour, but, unfortunately, it comes nowhere near me!

Posted: 8/28/04 at 12:35amTiny-Toon: They are coming to Hartford, CT next year also. If you live near NYC, though, the Philly one is closer.
