Thats so spooky, was thinking about a possible recording of the NY production just earlier. Fantastic news; we get Douglas Hodge's brilliant performance to keep forever
Can't believe there has not been a recording of this show for sooooooo long.

Hooray! so glad this is getting a recording, PS classics always do a first rate job too.
Still keeping my fingers crossed I'll make it to NY to see it in person though!

as excited as i am about this production finally getting the recording it deserves,
i'm rather sad that we'll have to settle for 2nd rate cagelles,
everyone i know who's seen over there has adored but added 'londons girls were better'
especially the fierce Ms Dane Quixall!
At least we still have doug and nick to remind us of 'the best of times'

Where is all this information coming from?

Like 'Promises, Promises', 'The Addams family' and I assume the new 'Sondheim on Sondheim', I assume it will not be possible to purchase and download this on the itunes UK site?

Well it's happening. Let's hope your NIGHT MUSIC predictions are also true :P.
Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

Get ya!
I hold a little hope for 'A Little Night Music' but I have since been told it will depend on the reviews. My reply was that, regardless of the reviews it will be a collectors piece and sell out anyway!

PS Classics has announced a full track listing for its Sept 28th release of the cast recording of the 2010 Best Revival Tony Award-winner 'La Cage Aux Folles' starring Kelsey Grammer and Tony Award winner Douglas Hodge.
"We've included a lot of the encores, playoffs and reprises that are so much a part of the show, with the aim of capturing that marvelous 'bird's eye' view of the club that exists in the theatre. We think fans of the show — and fans of this production — will be pleased. It's a very full disc, and a real Jerry Herman feast, which I'm especially pleased about."
The CD package includes a 28-page booklet with complete lyrics, a new essay by Harvey Fierstein, synopsis and stunning production photographs.
Track listing:
1. Prelude
2. We Are What We Are
3. We Are What We Are (Encore)
4. A Little More Mascara
5. A Little More Mascara (Encore)
6. With Anne On My Arm
7. With You On My Arms
8. "Tonight of all nights..."
9. Song on the Sang
10. La Cage aux Folles
11. "What I failed to tell you..."
12. I Am What I Am
13. Entr'acte
14. Song on the Sand (Reprise)
15. "If you wish to attend..."
16. Masculinity
17. Look Over There
18. Cocktail Counterpoint
19. The Best of Times
20. Look Over There (Reprise)
21 La Cage aux Folles (Reprise)
22. Finale

WOW! AT LAST!
A brilliant production.
Sounds amazing. It even has bits of spoken word too.
