Does anybody know if they will be recording a CD for the current Broadway cast of La Cage? I looked on Amazon and it doesn't seem like this exists yet.

Posted: 7/1/10 at 10:36amThis question has come up several times here at BWW. In my last conversation with Jerry Herman, no such plans are in place. In fact, he's so happy with the obc recording that he isn't going out of his way to see that the new version gets recorded.

Posted: 7/1/10 at 1:22pmI hope that's a joke about Hunter Foster. I saw him in The Producers and was underwhelmed. Douglas Hodge, on the other hand, was absolutely terrific in La Cage. He deserved the Tony win, IMO. Why do you think his Tony was "bought?"

Wasn't there an announcement a while ago (when the production was still playing in London) that they were recording one? Whatever happened to that plan?
