I noticed that as of yesterday, Daniel Davis' photo and bio were removed from the "cast" section on the web-site. They haven't posted Robert Goulet's photo in it's place, yet. I wonder if they're just waiting for him to formally take the stage or is his casting not yet decided in ink. (It just looks strange with Albin listed and no Georges.)
If you look closer any and all references to Davis have been removed. Also, the downloadable screen saver which contained images of Davis has been revoked.
The man at the box office told me yesterday that Goulet replacing Davis still isn't "official" so that's probably why there's no listing yet. He told me it should be by next week that it is.

as i recall when the wicked leads leave their bios and photos are gone by the next morning actually
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
You're right----I was probably thinking that Idina's photos, etc. were up after her announcement of departure and stayed up until she actually left. In Daniel D's case, it was all the same day----the announcement and his actual departure---so it seemed so abrupt. (which it was). I'll really miss seeing him in May (I have tix). Personality aside, his performance was wonderful.

It looks as though this is official! I for one am very excited about this, despite all the naysayers. With hope, a cast recording will be turned out very soon! Long live La Cage!
AGREED! Although I am saddened and excited all at the same time - Davis was a pure JOY ONSTAGE at least! But, Alas - I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT GOULET does with the role! The Producers maybe hellcats, but they scored big with this one - HOPEFULLY!
I saw the show tonight and John Hillner as Georges was just an insert and Daniel Davis was still in the playbill. I think they also just got these playbills printed for April, so I'm guessing its going to be like that at least for the next two weeks till Goulet is in.

I wish I could get to New York to see this show. I saw it on its first tour to Minneapolis in the early 80's with Peter Marshall (original host from the old Hollywood Squares) and just loved it. I hope it tours..I think this is one of Herman's best accomplishments, of course I am a huge fan of traditional broadway music. While I am open to the newer types of shows, I'll always enjoy an old fashioned Broadway book musical best.....as for Robert Goulet, I saw him 2 years ago on the tour of South Pacific and was VERY unimpressed. Of course, this tour was terrible, even the palm trees were painted and maybe it was the direction, but he was very boring. His singing was very good, so hopefully his direction in this will be good.
