Well Lennon and Lestat went to Broadway even they had horrible reviews during the out of town trial period. Look what happened. I don't say PB, Zhivago or The Wiz are the same league as L&L (especially Zhivago had some good songs), but if they are taking these shows to Broadway, they need to rewrite/re-cast/re-direct seriously.

That's because the Dodger's own the option to produce the show on Broadway. That's why they chose La Jolla (because Des is part of Dodger). And that's why the Dutch production was by Dodger-Endemol.

They were merely checking up on their property...not shopping.

The production won some awards (Outstanding Musical Production, Director, and Lead Actress) at the San Diego Critics Circle Craig Noel Awards.
