"In the London production, they add "to Fiyero" at the end of that line, for whatever reason. It doesn't fit well with the music."
I thought that was so the audience would realise/know that Elphaba knew that Fiyero was engaged to Glinda...slightly stupid I know but that was the only reason I could think of.
They've also added a little bit at the end of the scene where Nesa makes it clear that the reason Elphaba's going back to the Emerald City is to see Fiyero, not to rescue the monkeys. That's the pert I think Schwartz meant.

Missy - you still haven't answered where you got the info from - who was Mr. Schwartz writing to, and for what kind of publication?
Even if they have been with the show a while, there is nothing like being in a hit show in LA to land a sit-com. I am sure this is long term career strategy for all.
As Sueleen said, both Eden and Megan are looking for West Coast exposure for film and television oppertunities out there. I know Espinosa is from the California area, so that is primarily why she is doing it, and Hilty's agency (Bauman, Redanty, and Shaul) are bi-coastal and wanted her to get her face out there in LA as well.

One of the nice things about live theatre is that, although its "liveness" means productions require constant maintenance, it also enables creators to institute improvements when they think of them."
How about a complete rewrite? By a different composer? That would be great!
Becoz I knew you, they would have to have other things to move on to and apparently, they do not at the moment.

"they would have to have other things to move on to and apparently, they do not at the moment."
But, but, but ALLLLLLLL, they're Broadway STARS!!! They should have their PICK of things!
Why don't we just wait for the official press confrence and stop jumping to conclusions?
Megan must be on her way to L.A.
Emily Rozek went on as Glinda this afternoon.
Hooray for lottery wins!

I got this info from a monthly newsletter that is sent out to fans on schwartz mailing list
Just got a call from someone reliable. The only cast members tommorow at Wicked Day LA will be Eden and Megan. They will perform.
Your answer is a few posts up: Emily went on as Glinda today which I agree must indicate Megan as GLinda (which I heard from her own mouth in Seattle when I saw the show) but Eden is still the wild card... must not be Sho though or she'd have been out of the show today too.........
yeah, and eden was supposed to be in Broadway meets Country tomorrow night, and she dropped out.
Who really cares? They really need to start getting more new people playing the leads. Pretty soon all the 'amazing' actresses will be known for their work in a dried up show like Wicked and people will be wondering 'Why no other experience?'
Well the only reason why I care is because I live 15 mins away from the Oriental and have had my luck with the lotto. I love seeing new people in that role and I was just curious. Whether it was an understudy getting promoted or Lea Salonga I was just curious...
I would hardly calling it a promotion to be a star in Wicked ... it really is just a bigger stipend to say, "Please try and save this show!"
Act4ever, Cates has extended her contract through December 10th. Her replacement won't be cast until late November.
...it's Eden and Megan.

They made a big deal out of holding this back? Like everyone in LA will be salivating over the idea of seeing the second replacements of the Broadway cast?

Exactly, Rath.
The producers of the show are taking themselves a bit too seriously, the recycling is becoming boring and predictable.

Well you might want to look at ticket sales before speaking so generally for LA audiences. Ticket sales contradict your statement.
