While I don't yet have a particular method of dealing with those who are far more famous than I, it's probably important to remember that they're people.

For example, they are, with rare exceptions, way shorter than I am.

In any case, while I'd greatly enjoy the chance to talk with Jason Robert Brown in any form, my money is on him going back to lurking.

I really hope I don't have to post this again. It is, without ANY question, Jason.

Wow. And while I hate fawning, I really do love his music. One of my favorite composers, actually.

And those new pictures of Saddam in his underwear are not really Saddam....

Doubt does not make you seem smart unless you've got something to back it up with. Plus, when there are people who know for a fact that something is true, your doubt seems even more foolish.

Psha, I would go back to lurking if I were him too... you guys are vicious! Well, no one here... the other post.

For the record, Songs for a New World has to be my favorite cast recording... it reminds me of all of my friends at the Stratford musical theater camp because everyone loved it! Our assistant director sang Stars and the Moon... gosh... better than the CD!

Whoa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *faints*

Edit: Ok- this is edited later because of an overwhelming feeling of hyper excitedness. JRB, you are sooo awesome! SFANW is like the best CD, besides my other favorite one....hehe

At my college (Broward Community College) the seahawk singers did a wonderful job singing the songs from SFANW. You were given so much credit at the show. Thanks to you, the singers did a fantastic, amaxing job. *tips hat*

Also, I love The Last Five Years!! The Jewish things about Hebrew school and Schmuel are hysterical. Thanks for making life good!!

People like you are the reason I'm on medication.

There are other composers here too. I got a PM from a certain someone who, I guess, at the time enjoyed my thoughts on one of their shows so he or she, I won't say as it's not my place, but they left me a little message. it was cute.

ooooooh.

Well, I love L5Y. definitly a perfect musical for thinking about past relationships--the good and the bad. I always put it on when I'm nostalgic. And "I can do better than that" is one of my audition songs.

So Mr. Brown, I love L5Y, as well as SFANW and Parade. So even if you don't post, I think you're brilliant. One question, though. I haven't actually seen SFANW, so...I'm a bit confused on how you created it. Was it just meant to be a revue of sorts? Or was it orginially part of a greater musical? I've always wondered how revues were formed.

You surely are not questioning my intelligence! re: Ladies and Gents, Jason Robert Brown on BWW!!! 'Twas a weak attempt!

Here is my Songs for a New World true story:

Two or three summers ago, a group of local high school and college age kids presented SFANW for their friends and families...just as something to do during the summer. Lots of talent; lots of hard work; and a wonderful evening for everyone who was there.

One of the kids, an accomplished photographer, had created a slide show of photos he had taken over a period of time in New York City, to play during the opening number, A New World. We live about a half hour out of midtown, in New Jersey, so these pictures were not "local" shots. Anyway, in one of those random moments when the paths of unrelated events converge, my husband nudged me to take a close look at one of the photos. It was a picture of a man walking down the street in the Financial District. The man...the only person in the picture...turned out to be my husband's best friend and best man at our wedding. He lives in Brooklyn and we hadn't seen him in a while, so it was especially surprising to see him up on the screen.

It was just one of those odd little occurances in life...
