I think they are still audioning people for some roles...

But this announcement is good news. I think Kate showed great potential in Gypsy and I am very happy that she is getting more work.... Not that I think this will be brilliant, but, it will get a lot of play...

I hope they announce it soon. I know of someone that just got the news a couple days ago that he got the show. Can't wait to see this now!

oh--meanwhile I posted that last thing and forgot what I wanted to post...

I was going to say that I know someone who just auditioned today, so I would assume we won't have complete casting for a couple of weeks. I wonder who will get it... The kid I know has never done anything in New York and this does seem like a good show for newcomers.

I'm not surprised David Larsen was rewarded with the lead after doing such a great job at Vassar. I'm really looking forward to seeing the fully fleshed production of GV.

BroadwayGuy, when I saw the show Megan McGinnis was the 'Caroline' and while she sang and acted beautifully, she has a etheral quality to her and the character's transformation from geek to beach babe wasn't entirely believable. DO you think Kate has a little more spunkiness about her?

most definately! Kate DOES have some spunkiness to her. You can even tell that in pictures of her. She has this smile that SCREAMS devilish (in a good way!), doesn't she?

beachie - I disagree on David. When I saw him at Vassar he was cute and sang well but he defintely didn't SHINE like a lead should...Actually....Guarini had more spunk in his little role than David did..

Well, I'll be the first to admit Guarini was mesmerizing! Still, I thought David also did a great job and I loved his voice. I just think they needed a sassier Caroline for him to play off of and it looks like Miss Kate might just be it.

I read somewhere that she's a little thing, so if 6'1" Justin did take the role it will be fun to see him dance with her during the Darlin' number.

wow that is great i love that picture and i guess is now official that david and kate and justin are in GV! congrats to them all and by the way david is a hottie i had no idea my gosh!

congrats to Justin Guarini and what a fun and great start to his Broadway debut with a nice cast of people it seems!

i do want to apologize to the nice fans on this thread, i should not let a couple or party poopers or sour grapes ruin things and i have met some nice people on this board so i am sorry to get mad at that JOn for being so stupid! lol...

for anyone wanting news and info. on GV, you will find even more on going stuff and i'm sure pictures as time goes by on Justin Guarini website and fan boards!

here are a few to check out and the Pictures from wire image are also on many of Justin sites already! GV is now apart of Justin's career and family, so i'm sure Justin fans and his sites will be very supportive of the cast of GV!

Finally some news! Does anyone know anything about Tracee Beazer? I saw that she is singing with Kathy Brier at the Christmas tree lighting on Dec 10.
