By LAST tour does this mean last planned tour currently? Or last forever and ever until the revival?

At this point, last before they CLOSE the tour down - not a hiatous like the last couple summers, but actually closed. So, not including possible future developments which are unlikely at this point, last "forever." Of course, that's not to say that there won't be another US tour sometime in the future, but it won't be the 3NT, which has been touring since Nov. 28, 1988 - just 8 days younger than I am.

Hoo-Ray!
I'll be there! It's wonderful that something like this happens in St. Louis, I feel so cut off from everything being so far away from NY. Finaly something historic I can be a part of :)

heh. Les Mis is one of those things that will never really go away. I can't imagine a professional version of it not playing anywhere in either North America or Britian. It's there forever, like Big Ben.

I may be there, too.

St. Louis was the first city where I flew anywhere to see a particular show -- and it was Les Miz.

ShutterBug - I know! The only thing we usually have in St. Louis that's all that special theatre-wise is The Muny, and they do the same 10-15 family shows every five years! Damn you, Paul Blake! Can't wait - I'll definetly be there, hopefully on the 23rd.

I have heard that my city is one of the last stops that has yet to be announced (I have only heard from looking at serveal cast members web sites), and I don't expect it to be announced for awhile since Les Mis techicially is going to be a part of my local theater's next season(they don't announce the next season until the last show is in town). I am planning on going. It is going to be bittersweet because it is closing, and the tour is my only memories of seeing the show live.

However, like someone said here, I don't think Les Mis will completely disappear in this life, like all good shows.

It said in the Boston Globes's (rather unflattering) review that the fine print in the promotional materials said that this version of the show was playing for the last time. So, its not done.
