"Last minute" Hamilton ticket off StubHub or other options?

My sister and I will be arriving to the city on Wednesday the 7th for 3 days and 4 shows. We already have Great Comet and DEH tickets, but she's never seen Hamilton (I have and am ok saving my money on a second time at these prices). I saw today, there were a couple of StubHub tickets under $300, but not till 2:59 (for 3:00 curtain). Is this common, and could she get inside and seated before curtain up? Also, are there any other options for her - we get in around noon so cancellation line is probably not an option. Also, is this StubHub option safe? Thanks in advance.

I think you have to print it out to take it in, not show it on your phone, so that doesn't sound like a viable option... also, there's no way to know if/when someone will discount a Hamilton ticket before showtime, so if you're waiting until that late you may be missing Hamilton AND a chance to see any other show that is about to start...

Thanks hr for your two excellent points. Yes, if a printed ticket is needed, this will kill this option. And to your better point, there are other shows that she wants to see that she would jeopardize.

You definitely do need it printed and the box office may possibly do it for you. If not, the stubhub center near Madison square garden will or I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find a front desk employee at a hotel that wouldn't mind printing it for you. Good luck!

Between 2:59p and five minutes or so until the show starts?!

Thanks JJ on the print comments. We're staying at the Marriott Marquis and could print from the business center but it sounds like to much of an uncertainty and still cutting it close. Also, if she wants to try it, she might be tempted to spend more than she wants trying to save some minutes.

The Richard Rodgers does not print any PDF tickets from a patron. They would refer them to the Marriott to print them out. And, prices do decrease to the amount the OP mentioned super close to showtime. The seller isn't able to sell them beforehand and tries to take whatever they can get last moment just to get rid of the ticket.

But, there are plenty of people who do go the last min route. I usher there in the Mezz. And, if there is a scattered single seat somewhere we usually chalk it up to either a stub hub or Ticketmaster reseller who wasn't able to sell their tickets. But, that's rare to see. We are generally filled to capacity up there. Seeing as people do buy tickets at the zero hour I am sure that many folks have gone the route that you're thinking of doing with your sister.

Hey there! I actually have tickets for Wednesday's matinee. They're orchestra. I'm selling through Ticketmaster. Let me know if you're interested.

I PM'ed you MM, but I'm sure I can't afford any advance pricing. My sister may just have to sit this one out. Sure am glad I saw it for 80 some buck opening week.
