What recently closed Broadway/Off-Broadway show are you just now getting into? Or show that closed last year, etc.
Example, I seriously starting getting (in detail) into Aida around closing time in 2004. Bought the cast recording, read all about it online, ecetera.

Not as recent as yours, but I recently discovered a love for Ragtime. It's brilliant.
Tick, Tick....BOOM!
Years too late.
I'm becoming practically obsessed with Aida
Also, I've been becoming really interested
in Little Shop of Horrors and Nine
I guess I could say the same thing for
Gypsy (with Bernadette Peters)
Hmmm... I think "Nine" closed way too soon, and I have been really into "Grand Hotel" lately, As well as "The Wild Party" - I miss Eartha doing "Uptown" as Delores.

I thought this thread was about the time the cleaners misplaced my laundry, causing my bloomers to actually be late.

For me, it's been two shows by Jerry Herman which I've come to love but didn't pay all that much attention to first time around: Mack and Mabel, and La Cage Aux Folles.

I won't tell you what I thought when I read the title of this thread...
Assassins!!
What really kills me is I had a sort-of chance to see the revival - I was trying to get my dad to take me into the city one day when we were in New Jersey and I remember trying to decide what show to see and thinking "Ew, Assassins, don't want to see that." (We ended up not going to see a show anyway, but still!)
How young and ignorant I was!
Now it's quite possibly my favorite show of all time.
I became interested in Jane Eyre and The Scarlet Pimpernel after they had both been closed for a while. They also both happen to be favorite books of mine

I live in England, and I always seem to be doing this with West End shows: I got into Rent a couple of months before it closed. I also fell in love with the Miss Saigon cast recording and became really curious about Romeo and Juliet: The Musical after they had closed.
On a similar theme, I also tend to get into shows that are only playing in America: I still love Rent, I was really into Wicked last year, and now I'm into Altar Boyz.
It didn't close recently but I've just recently picked up Dreamgirls and the OBC of A Chorus Line (only had the movie before). I tend to wait until shows are closed for a while to pick up interest, or I'll buy an OBCR and not listen to it for ages.
It took me months to listen to the Chicago Revival CD, The Who's: Tommy OBCR, Into the Woods OBCR, and the Cabaret revival.
Is anyone else like that?
