So, if you're a Central Kentucky Laura Bell Bundy fan who never got to New York to see her Tony-nominated turn as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde ? The Musical, you have another chance, much closer to home.
Bundy is going to reprise the role when the national tour of Legally Blonde lands at Nashville's Tennessee Performing Arts Center from June 23 to 28. Bundy will play Elle in all evening performances, stepping in for vacationing Becky Gulsvig.
Bundy, a Lexington native and Lexington Catholic graduate, moved to Nashville last year to pursue her country music career after leaving the Broadway production of Legally Blonde in July.
Bundy also reprised the role on tour earlier this year in Washington, D.C., and East Lansing, Mich., when Gulsvig was out with an injury.
Tickets are $22.50 to $74.50 through Ticketmaster, 1-800-745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com. Remember, Bundy only appears in the evening performances.

SO EXCITED! I'm sure she'll do amazing.
I'm hoping. I'm seeing the show on June 24th, I'm somewhat excited.

why is she always covering for Becky? Why can't Lauren Zarkin just take on the role?
don't get me wrong i <3 LBB, but When I met her in Sept, she said she was still recovering from the role. So why go back?
Maybe she thought it would be an easy paycheck since the tour just happened to be in Nashville while Becky was on vacation. Plus, They've been promoting the "Original" Elle Woods, more than likeyly.
defying...lmao
*barf* When will she stop?! This role KILLED her!

I disagree. It just got her in some bad shape like any Broadway actress that performed the role for a long long time and was dedicated to it like she was. I'm very excited for her to be in the role again!!!!
My dad called me excited about "that girl who sang at the season kick-off event" not being in (apparently Becky sang there and they were less than impressed with her). LOL. He and my mom usher at TPAC. I'm not sure how many of these they'll be doing because of a scheduled trip, though. It made me laugh ~ his comment.
Hopefully Laura will hit the money note more times than not during this short run.
How exciting! I just saw the MTV broadcast for the first time after seeing the tour, and LBB was really amazing. Gulsvig was very good too, but it would be something exciting to see LBB in the role.

sayokay, her higher notes were totally shot during "So Much Better," even in the new key. She does little more than scream anymore and she used to be incredible.

The ORIGINAL Elle Woods is Reese Witherspoon. Accept no substitutes.
