sorry forgot to answer the query: LBB (as Mary Martin) was in a workshop of a new (unfinished) musical called THAT'S ANDY...the basic premise is about a little boy in a small town who wants to play Annie in the school's musical. Clever idea, and the way they keep it interesting is that ANNIE itself (or even her name) is never directly mentioned...instead there are references everyone gets anyway, which are pretty amusing. Or they get right to the point of naming the show/role and they get interrupted. It might, i guess, keep the writers out of trademark infringement territory. The show got some coverage the first time it had a "staged reading" a while back...i first read about it in Playbill Online. i saw enough to want to follow the development of it...great kids' roles and fun kids' music.
Oh, and for you WICKED queens, Schwartz was also at the workshop. In the elevator on the way down afterwards, he was talking to a friend (but really to all of us) about how the Republican National Committee was leaning on WICKED producers for house seats during the convention, and they had asked him for his. He was saying he wanted approval of who got to use them from the RNC, and i can't blame him there! *wink*
