Patty is gonna be pissed. Ha.

But cute interview...she would be a fantastic Eliza Doolittle.

I don't understand how a THEATRE publication can make that mistake . . .

On topic, however, Laura rocks. I would love to see her as Eliza Doolittle! And hopefully there will be many more Sondheim musicals in her future.
I chose, and my world was shaken. So what? The choice may have been mistaken. The choosing was not.

I admire her honesty. I saw Gypsy on Saturday night and I was enamored with her performance.

Really small to read, but thanks for posting it anyway! I love Laura Benanti, she's going to have a long successful career on broadway!

They repeat their questions alot. They first asked her what one thing she would change about herself and then asked her what her worst characteristic was.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention...I'm the good cop, he's the bad cop.

re: Laura Benanti 20 Questions Interview

They really need to stop peddling those damn Rising Star awards. They don't know how to judge a show. My school did it every year and we'd get the most diversified answers on our review sheets. They'd tell us in one that the choreography was too easy, another said if could have been simpler. One didn't like the make-up, the other thought it was great. As for acting, not a single useable piece of advise other than "get a shorter haircut, at least you tried" or "you're just not old enoughfor the part. IT'S HIGH SCHOOL. NO ONE IS OLD ENOUGH!

Whatever, we're doing Cappies this year.
