Looks like concerts will have to hold us fans over until her next big role. And to echo others, I think she would make a wonderful Bobbie following Katrina Lenk."
Broadway isn't everything. As long as Benanti is making money from TV appearances and concerts (and keeping herself in the public eye in the process) her career isn't really in any danger. Benanti is also doing an excellent job in audio dramas like "Tomorrow" , even if they aren't the best showcase for her talents. She may be a flawed person in some respects, but she's certainly a talented singer and actor, and her Broadway career definitely ain't over...
I overheard someone down at 31 Flavors talking about Melania the Musical . . .
Will she perform matinees and take tuesdays off ?
Mind you, the fact that she’s still appearing in things after playing Miss Hannigan shows she’s been doing better than Cameron Diaz…
Cameron Diaz retired from acting around 2018 but made it public around 2020. She’s doing much better than many of us, quite frankly.

Too much talent
Chasing not enough roles.
What if Broadway became affordable for most New Yorkers?
Kelli O'Hara has been Broadway's hardest working actress for almost twenty years, but how many people you pass on the streets of Manhattan ever heard of her?
I just watched the Michael Keaton movie Worth last night, which I guess came out last year. I was pleasantly surprised to see Laura Benanti was in it as well, and she was doing some heavy-lifting acting. I thought she was terrific; if you're a fan you might want to check it out (it's on Netflix).
