Posted: 7/13/04 at 7:26pmi love idina's take on the role and songs too. i just like how eden takes them to i higher level. the slide at the end of 'no good deed' is my favorite though.

If you think those clips are good, you haven't seen what Idina can do when she's at her best. Some of the riffs are really amazing, but vocally and expressively, Idina does a lot more with much great vocal ease. Sean McCourt would look really funny in Joel's costume b/c he plays the Wizard as a much younger character (more the age that Elphaba's father should be). He is amazing, I wish he were taking over the role, but I hear George Hearn will be great.
I think Laura Bush should see Avenue Q, now that would be funny! If you don't know what I'm talking about, you need to see that show.

Gee, only two "amazings?" What's wrong kitten, feelin a little down?
How did the Bushes react to the line about leaders needing to give people somebody to hate?

Posted: 7/13/04 at 10:07pmMy friend and her buddy actually saw Wicked during this performance. Her buddy is lame (lame as in non-funtional legs) but brought her crutches so she could wait at the stagedoor with getting crushed. The secret service men refused to let them use the elevator to go to the bathroom. They had to walk/crutch up 2 flights of stairs. And just to show real class, Mrs Prez went out through the stagedoor to sign autographs.

Posted: 7/13/04 at 10:40pmwhy would she think it was appropriate to sign autographs after the show? I think thats taking something away from the actors, when quite frankly she didn't do anything.

Posted: 7/13/04 at 10:42pmI'm no big fan of Pickles Bush's, but she IS the First Lady. So it's kinda natural some people would want her autograph and that she would want to give it. Especially in an election year.

Posted: 7/13/04 at 10:44pmI understand why people would want her autograph, but I don't know if it was appropriate to give it at that time. I mean she could have waited backstage until the crowds died down. I know the actors do that sometimes, so she could have done the same. I just think it wasn't the right time or place.

Posted: 7/14/04 at 7:34amwell, i'm appalled! how dare those gop beeyotches show up on broadway and detract from the attention being paid to the performers! they should know better than to take seats away from hard working broadway fans! i hope this whole photo op backfires and they are shunned by the normally very supportive broadway community for their egotistical attack on broadway's greatest asset!
