So I should go see it before October if I want to see the number?
I'm still surprised that no one has mentioned the new Bert (unless he dropped out, but I haven't heard that). A lot of you will be VERY excited when that news comes out.

I'm so interested to know! ARGH!
And I asked in a different thread, but any idea on the new Mrs. Banks, if Luker is leaving next month?

My friend told me Christian Bole will be the next Bert, but I'm not 100% if it is ture. When another friend told me Jonathon Freeman would be the next Mr. Banks it was false. I can't believe everything that goes around after that rumor.

The new "Bert" is definitely Christian Borle. He and LMK are in rehearsals right now. And Megan Osterhaus, the "Mrs Banks" on tour will be coming to Broadway in Feb. along with her current "Mr Banks" on tour, Karl Kenzler.

Those too are SO good!! Also, Valerie Boyle "Mrs. Brill" on the tour is coming in Dec, I believe. I would love to see AKB on Broadway with the show!

Christian Borle as Bert has been discussed for weeks now. It's not really all that exciting, to be honest.
LMK will probably leave around Jan/Feb as she will be doing another workshop production of Ghost before starting reherasals for the World Premiere production of it

It's too bad Osterhaus is being brought to NY in February to be Mrs. Banks...I saw her several times in the role, and she really seemed to have no grasp on how her character propels the story... She also plays the role with little vulnerability, so I had little sympathy for her. It was as if she was a bossy housewife, and everyone in the family changed around her... "Being Mrs. Banks" sounded pretty, but not a moment of it was believable because she never built up to it.
However, it is WONDERFUL that Karl Kenzler is reprising the role of Mr. Banks in NY in February. His performance is quite refreshing, and his journey as a stoned-heart man to a loving father is incredibly believable and beautiful. His moment in the park is so honest and clear.

It would make sense that Christian Borle is doing Poppins considering he just did another Disney show (Peter and the Starcatchers) a few months ago - a show which he truly was fantastic in.
Anyone who saw him in it knows what I am talking about - he is going to make an amazing Bert.
