It's official? Well as much as it's good that she's working... bit of a step down from originating a role to being third replacement. I always really liked Scarlet Strallen in this role... she just seems so nice lol.

Yeah for me Scarlett Strallen is the best Mary, followed by Caroline Sheen then Poppy Tierney. Not a huge LMK fan

It's far from official. Once again, someone took something that someone else said at face value as a fact and then reported to others that it was true. Just like the rumours of Beauty and The Beast being revived for the holiday season this fall.

It has been confirmed that Laura Michelle Kelly is going to play the super anny again, but this time at the New Amsterdam Theatre, new York.

I'm glad there's finally some news about Laura (although I probably won't be able to enjoy her performance as Mary Poppins on Broadway) for not much has been heard about her for quite a while.

Looking at the grosses for Poppins, the show looks to be in its final stretch..

I doubt it. If you consider the fact that Poppins is (at least on Broadway) considered to be a Disney show and is playing in a theatre that is operated and leased out by Disney. I don't think that that is a theatre that they want to have dark for any amount of time. Wit that being said, I do think that the show will stay open for a year or so more. Keep in mind that now is a bad time to judge grosses due to the fact that every show is going to show a dip in sales now, due to the fact that summer ended and the tourists have gone home until the holidays.
