She'll be off from the show from August 19- September 3.

She'll be heading to Manila.

I hadn't heard about her taking a vacation, but she did extend her contract with the show.

Originally, she was supposed to leave August 18th. She's now signed on a few extra months through October 21st.

I'm guessing this vacation being scheduled the week of her original contract end date is probably because it was added as a perk with her extention.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Thanks for the update! I was planning on seeing the show sometime soon, mostly because she's in it!

She also has to leave Les Miz early enough to prepare for the Asian touring production of R&H's CINDERELLA, which she will headline.
