I love Lupone she is amazing, as is O'Hara, but I'm still rooting for Kerry Butler bc her performance in Xanadu was amazing and she deserves it.

Anyone else wishing an' hoping an' prayin that Kerry wins?

LuPone's performance is about 10 leagues above the performances of the other actresses.

That's not to say they aren't good.

I didn't see Xanadu, so I can't speak for Kerry Butler's performance. But the idea that ANYONE in that role could win over Patti as Mama Rose is kind of funny.

Actually Kerry Butler is really good. I think she's often overlooked!

I've liked Kerry in everything I've seen her in, and hopefully one day she'll get a good role and a good shot at a Tony. But this is most assuredly not her year.

That's before A Catered Affair got shut out, XANADU stayed open, Kelli O'Hara charmed EVERYONE, and Patti LuPone's GYPSY was even announced.

If it doesn't go to Patti, then it's really a toss-up between Kelli and Jenna, with Kelli being slightly more likely because she's American (yeah, I said it!).

If it doesn't go to Patti... hah! That's a good one, fellas!

Kerry Butler has been in 6 Broadway shows, being a replacement for 3 roles.
Patti LuPone has been in 23 by my count, being a replacement for 1.
