The eternal question, one that I can't help wondering about every time I see this picture...
Who is the character second from the left supposed to be: Leaf or Logainne? He/she has Leaf's red hair and looks boyish, but Leaf is not that snappy a dresser and does not wear glasses. It could be Logainne, who dresses very boyish.
The edited version is a lot more obvious, but the question remains about the original.
In the second picture, I believe you're looking at (from L-R)
Logainne SchwartzandGrubenierre, William Barfée, Olive Ostrovsky, Chip Tolentino, Leaf Coneybear, and Marcy Park.

Obviously, but the first picture remains a mystery.
I vote Leaf because whoever it is is wearing number 64 and Leaf is wearing 64 in the second picture.

I think it's Coneybear, with Logainne all the way on the left. Then, they would all match up with the second picture, as the other three do.
I'm guessing the original artwork reflected extremely early character concepts. I've ALWAYS been puzzled as to why it continued all the way through the Broadway cast recording.
