The eternal question, one that I can't help wondering about every time I see this picture...
Who is the character second from the left supposed to be: Leaf or Logainne? He/she has Leaf's red hair and looks boyish, but Leaf is not that snappy a dresser and does not wear glasses. It could be Logainne, who dresses very boyish.
The edited version is a lot more obvious, but the question remains about the original.

In the second picture, I believe you're looking at (from L-R)
Logainne SchwartzandGrubenierre, William Barfée, Olive Ostrovsky, Chip Tolentino, Leaf Coneybear, and Marcy Park.

Posted: 9/15/10 at 10:37pmI think it's Coneybear, with Logainne all the way on the left. Then, they would all match up with the second picture, as the other three do.

Posted: 9/16/10 at 12:36amI'm guessing the original artwork reflected extremely early character concepts. I've ALWAYS been puzzled as to why it continued all the way through the Broadway cast recording.
