Well, if Lea was able to sing 'On My Own', I don't doubt she belted it. Lea has said before that she adores Idina.
Lea is such a talented girl, I think she could take on that role well, but I see how others think she would be a good
Nessa, which she would also be great as.

Posted: 2/20/07 at 5:58pmI've heard Lea belt. She could play Elphaba.

^where did you hear Lea belt? I am intrigued :)
seriously though, I soooo want to hear her do defying gravity. Assuming she can belt, that would be ridiculously gorgeous.

Posted: 2/20/07 at 7:14pmShe's really talented, and I'm sure she could do it, but I'd rather she did something more... interesting.

Posted: 2/20/07 at 7:18pmAm I the only person who thinks she is too young to handle a score like this? If she were to do it right after Spring Awakening I think she would be still too young.

Posted: 2/20/07 at 7:20pmHow old is she?

Posted: 2/20/07 at 7:23pmFor some reason I thought she was 26. Yeah, she is a bit young.

Posted: 2/20/07 at 7:30pmI don't think age has much to do with it. She looks older than she is and if she can sing it I think she should. Erin Mackey (Glinda in the Chicago production) is only 20 and she does a fabulous job.
re: Leah Michelle.....Wicked?#34
Posted: 2/20/07 at 7:34pmGlinda is a less vocally demanding than Elphaba. Both of those roles still are vocally demanding but Elphaba is more demanding.

Posted: 2/20/07 at 8:34pmI also was thinking that Lea is bit young for Elphaba. I'd love to see her in it when she's older. I've never heard her belt anything. Sparing Awakening doesn't seem like a challenge vocally, to me. But someday, I;m sure she would make a terrific Elphaba.

Posted: 2/20/07 at 10:31pmthe most challenging thing about that score is decifering the nonsensical "rhymes." I think Lea Michele is far too literate for that.
