Does anyone know why LBB was crying so much? She cried through many of the songs (even the happy ones) and I don't remember her being much of a cryer even in the sad numbers. She was so choked up at the end of 'Legally Blonde' that she didn't even attempt to sing it. I did hear they were all going to some party right after the performance so perhaps it was someone's last day? My personal guess is that Sutton is laying a smack down on her...

She cried alot when I was there in like middle March and it was no one's last day.
idk.
The 'some party' happening tonight is Blonde's one year anniversary party (opening night 4/29/07).
But LBB does just sometimes cry thru a lot of the show most days.
Country Girl opened tonight also
opening night partay?
I have never seen LB when LBB hasn't cried throughout the show (and I've seen it numerous times). I've heard she even did that in the workshops. It's actually really annoying and distracting (IMO) and takes away from the scene.
During "Legally Blonde" she cries so hard she can barely sing. While I agree it's supposed to be emotional, I think the way Becky Gulsvig plays it, where she's very emotional but appears to be holding back tears, is a lot more powerful and touching.

Good logic except that would be Tuesday. Must have been Country Girl, I just never saw her cry that much in a show, but perhaps it was just those shows...
It is irritating since I paid to see her sing, and it was very distracting.
That's really strange. I saw it WAYYYY back, I think last May, and the only song she cried in was Legally Blonde, and it was appropriate and wasn't too much. I wonder why she does that...

Ok, let me rephrase then: when I was at Blonde this afternoon I was told that there were parties going on both after the matinee and evening show today (today as in Sunday, clarifying since it's after midnight) to celebrate Blonde's one year anniversary.
I do know that the 29th is Tuesday.
But sometimes LBB just cries because she cries, maybe there is no 'reason' for today's crying.

I don't know why, but the producers chose to hold the party on Sunday. Probably because Tuesday is a day off for the Blonde cast and people might not be around. I didn't hear about the party after the show, but there was a big party between the matinee and the evening show.
I've only seen LB in the MTV broadcast, but I did notice a tear running down her cheek during "Ireland." That seemed appropriate to me, since Orfeh sang it beautifully. Otherwise, I didn't notice any over-the-top tears! Maybe she was just having an extra-emotional day for personal reasons.

I saw the show yesterday and she cried alot in it. About 6 times that I counted:
Serious
Ireland
Serious(reprise)
Chip On My Shoulder
So Much Better
Legally Blonde(tears were streamimg down her face and she could barely sing)
It was all in the sad parts of the songs so it fit in.

actually no, I just saw Ireland and assumed that one. but didn't notice reprise
she leaves before reprise and it's just Orfeh on stage.
so that's odd to mention

Sorry I put Ireland(reprise) in by mistake OOPS.
shh282,
It wasn't anyone's last day. I don't even want to know what she's gonna be like next Sunday when it's Haven's last day. But I'm going because I never had as much fun as I did during this show and I like seeing people's last shows...LOL
I wonder if the Rush line will be insane like it was for when Haven!Elle happened
