My next problem is i want to see Legally Blonde at La Mirada Theater. I saw the MTV proshot in 2007 and it made me seek out the original movie. I’ve been overdue to see the stage version in person for almost 20 years. Does it hold up well in terms of the music and energy?

I saw the original Broadway production about 5 times and the 1st US National Tour and beyond loved this show. The MTV pro-shot is a nice archive (ruined by the added screams after every other word), but it’s basically a visual record and not at all how the experience was seeing it with a normal audience. The pacing is vital so a top notch regional production can replicate this. When the pacing is off, like in community and high school productions, the show is torture. It needs to be constantly flowing.
