oh goodness! dedication! i love it.

you wouldn't think about spending another 3 hours transposing So Much Better..would ya? i mean, gee whiz, Chip is like a 10 minute song! The act 1 finale is only like 3 minutes!

Despite some lyric changes the song is pretty much the same as it is on the workshop score. The 7 or so key changes and all.

yea im looking for the sheet music too. i want to use this song for an audition for my school play and for the audtition the teacher is requesting we sing 16 bars of an upbeat song. i want to sing starting when she says, "Woah! is that my name up on that list?" and i need the music to practice and for the audition so they can accompany me...

Generally though, you should avoid popular music.
ie: any "new" show (yes, legally blonde is still new)

you should also stay away from any "signature songs"
ie: a song that you associate with a certain performer, "Over the Rainbow" is Judy Garland's
