they arent doing well??
I attended it twice in Cleveland, once on a Tuesday and once on a Wednesday, the lowest grossing nights of the week, and the HUGE Palace Theater was packed both times. I attempted to get a weekend show, but Saturday was all but sold out and the closest seats I could have gotten for Sundays shows were the third row to the back in the orchestra for one show and the middle of the mezz for the evening show.
So yeah, I'd say they are doing fine, despite BwayBri's random statement without any back-up or facts.

thats good that they are packing the houses...
i think it will have a better tour life than it did on broadway
I saw it 5 times in Rochester, NY and it was close to being sold out most times. There were only a few empty rows in the back of the balcony.
Tour box office, week of Nov 17-23, per Variety:
Road Grosses
so then the tour is doing REALLY well..?
Man, I'm scared of sold it's gonna be by the time they get to LA.

Even if it weren't, the producers get a "guarantee" from presenters that should cover the costs, so there's no reason for them to be LOSING money on the road, really. Well, the local presenters could lose money if the show doesn't sell enough to cover the guarantee, but the show/producers should be covered.
AVE Q, meanwhile looks to be hurting up in Detroit. Not sure what their guarantee is, but it sure looks like the Detroit presenters might be taking a loss on that one.

bwaybri2 - there is no point in coming out with idiotic statements like 'Not as good as they hoped' , when anyone can get the tour grosses from Variety
LB is doing very well

I waited too long for here in Philly and was left with four performances out of the 8: Sunday night, Thursday, Wednesday & Tuesday (oops backwards!); Tuesday and Wednesday had only decent seats left and I'm at the top of the family circle -- not good I'm anticipating for the Academy of Music :0!
I'd say it's doing extremely well. The people at the box office in Philly were suprised it was that big of a hit, especially since many of the tours we have here get highly discounted Tues-Thurs...We just had The Wizard of Oz discount oppurtunity tickets for half price all 3 nights (starring Cassie O. from the LB show as a matter of fact!). As I've mentioned before, we had WDTW Tour tickets for $10 if I'm not mistaken...! The only discount I got for LB was for Tues + Wed just this past wednesday, so it's doing much better than bwaybri2 is making it out to be.
I student rushed this show in Boston, and got seats in Right Mezz Row B. This was the first time at the Opera House that I have gotten seats in the mezz. Judging by the location, I have a feeling the orchestra was pretty full - I have always had no problem getting orchestra seats for rush. Then again, maybe these would have been rush seats anyway regardless of how fast or slow the orchestra was selling.

LB is a fun show but I don't know how anyone could enjoy seeing it five times in a relatively short period.

Empty seats in a regional theater aren't always a sign that the show didn't sell out. Regional theaters often sell several seats or a row of seats to banks and businesses who want to give tickets to employees. When they don't give the tickets out, the seats are empty. When I saw LB in Cleveland, there were many empty seats but they were all bought up by businesses.

Haha, yay! Hopefully the tour can afford Laura Bell Bundy now, eh?

Tour houses aren't regional houses.
Regional houses produce in house. Tour/Road Houses present tours. Just saying. :)
I'm checking it out in Philly, and noticed that a lot of the dates there seem to be sold out/selling well. :) It's doing great, from what I hear.
I saw it this past Saturday, and there was only a handful of seats empty at the Kennedy Center
