Ugh.

His husband, Gregory Doran, will be taking a leave of absence from his role as Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company to care for him.

Most recently in New York, Sher played Falstaff at BAM in 2016.

How awful. He never got that late career Judi Dench boost into mainstream awareness that he so richly deserved.
