Ijust went a few nights ago to The Globe Theatre, and I thought it was an insanely terrific play. Very hilarious, and very well put together. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen it and what their thoughts are possibly on it?
I saw the original production on Broadway. I remember Victor Garber and Tovah Feldshuh were in it. It was quite hilarious.
That would have been amazing....I never knew it was on broadway. Well either way its fantastic.

I saw a high school production of it at the Illinois Theatre Fest i think in 2003...I thought it was great. It was not only a hilarious show but a great production
This is a play that is completely dependent on it's staging (as, I suppose, are most farces). But the original Broadway production was a hoot and the design was spectacular.
i'm going to see it at a local theater in april. i can't wait!
I also saw Lend Me A Tenor on Broadway, sometime in 1989, and it was a great production. Philip Bosco and Victor Garber were very good and I remember my brother and I laughing out loud during the show.
I love this show! It's hysterical!
I saw it on Broadway too. I am not really into farce, so didn't love it, but it was my first Tovah Feldshuh experience and I knew I was experiencing brilliance.

I, too, saw the original cast and loved it. I also directed the first high school production of it on Long Island. It was really excellent--even though I had to trim the operatic singing.
I did this show last spring. I played the Italian tenor, Tito Merelli. It's a ton of fun to watch and to be a part of. The whole concept and the blocking was so physical, but so fun. You got some work out being in that cast, but it was worth it.
