I'm sure this question has been asked and I honestly did try and hunt thru the board to get my own answer but couldn't find one.
I really wanted to come to NYC to see LMAT. I'm a huge LaPaglia fan. If I sent a letter and SASE to him c/o box office what do you think the odds are I would get a signed playbill back?
I know shows send out Playbills signed by everyone but not sure how that is done.
Thanks for any advice/help.

Send it to him care of the THEATER, not specifically the box office.
Under most circumstances, you will get what you ask for...but of course there is no guarantee...nor can you have any idea of how long it might take.
Just be sure to add the SASE as you said.
I'm seeing the show in a few weeks. CAN'T wait!

Posted: 4/2/10 at 12:46pmYou say "I really wanted to come to NYC to see LMAT", but you don't say if you can or will. If you are coming, why send for a Playbill when you get one at the show and can go to the stage door and meet Mr.LaPaglia yourself? Although I'm not putting it down, I don't understand the thrill of getting signed Playbills back in the mail when there is no proof it's anyone actually in the show who signed it and not a bored stagehand backstage.
#3Lend Me A Tenor/Gen. Autograph Question.
Posted: 4/2/10 at 1:17pmI am in Chicago and have been out of work for sometime. I had hoped my situation would change and I could make a trip and see several plays. I am a fan of Anthony's and thought it would be nice to have a piece of his memorabilia. It would not thrill me to think a stage hand did the autographs!

Amoni2...funny thing about that: I allowed my daughter to stage door for BBB (It was the first time she'd done so, and was very excited to meet Nolan Gerard Funk). The door man announced early that Stamos would be coming out....but that he had signed a bunch of Playbills for people. Everyone remarked how lovely it was of Stamos to think of his fans. After some time the doorman returned inside to get some more...and I thought I saw him sitting at his desk signing them. He and I had been chitchatting, and I quietly asked him about it (I could care less about anyone's signature). He smiled at me and said that while no, HE hadn't signed them, neither had Stamos. He had his signature on his computer and was printing them on. (I'm assuming they simply restaple the playbill together after sending the cover page through the printer.)

I just might have to rethink this idea of mine.
The thought of running the cover of a playbill thru a xerox machine is pretty funny. I would think it would be faster to actually sign them. What to do...what to do.

If it means that much to you, do it....he'll still have rec'd your letter and would most likely have read it. Go for it!
I'd offer to get you one...but I am not a stage door person.

I'll take one Drama. Slip Justin Bartha my number too.
PS. I'm kind of regretting choosing Next Fall over LMAT. But we'll have a good day regardless

Did you include the SASE? How long ago did you send it?
(Still sad, and quite unusual as well.)

Posted: 8/22/10 at 10:34amIt's been about 4 months and I did enclose a SASE. I think there is always a chance you will not get an answer when requesting something...especially an established actor. Oh well it was worth a shot.
