Lend Me A Tenor The Musical

I have seen this amazing show now three times,
It is playing to great business, receiving spontaneous standing ovations for each performance, the cast are amazing, the fully automated set is truly beautiful, the orchestra sound like an authentic 1934 orchestra, and you can hear every word due to the amazing sound design,The costumes are stunning.
This show is a delight, the score and book are so well constructed.
The Producers are in discussion with West End Theatres for a 2011 opening.

And I assume you work for the show in some capacity, you who just joined the forums today...

Lend Me A Tenor The Musical

The show has done dreadful business the last week in Plymouth with most performances being barely 50% of capacity.
Lots of walkouts reported and a very down hearted cast and crew.
I don't think this will make it to the West End, it will barely last a month if it took the risk.
The producers will be thinking again after the Plymouth season, they have already moved the show from October originally to early next year.

Please read review in link below which accurately reflects the show and audience response in Plymouth

No, it's a review - just another opinion, nothing more. The only reference to audience response was the standing ovation, which happens so frequently now as to be absolutely meaningless.

And the OP does sound more than a little like a barely-disguised press release.... Lend Me A Tenor The Musical

As I mentioned my post comes from an old friend who is on stage there every night and they are worried.

Lets wait and see.

My opinion is the show still will transfer, but it will have an almighty struggle...

I also have a good friend on stage every night and I've heard nothing of people being worried. If I didn't know better I'd suggest you were making this up to make a point :)

Agree with Anything Goes, lets not shoot it down before its given a chance (which is all too easy), lets just wait and see

POL looks like another producer on line!!!!...........

Not shooting it down at all Ok, just reporting what Im told by friends. Maybe, just maybe, your friends cant see what's wrong with the show!
OR maybe , like the other 2 newbies above your connected to the show!

So, Paddy, take the Plums out of your mouth my lovely and get back to the production office and sort out your sinking ship!

I went to see the show in Plymouth. Thought it was amazing. But, I assume I am not able to have an opinion because I have just joined this site? What's the protocol here, do I need to wait 30 days or something?

Lend Me A Tenor The Musical

No protocol, just express your self.

This must be one hell of a show if it has average punters rushing to Broadwayworld.com to sing its praises- the obvious place to gush about the show... Who would have thought the good folk of Plymouth would be so cosmopolitan!

Just used google to find reviews of the show, and found this great site. I didn't rush here intentionally, you guys are just on the front page of google, that's all.
