Les Misérables Live on BBC Radio 2 tomorrow !

Radio 2 celebrates the 21st anniversary of Les Misérables with a special 75 min. concert performance.

To celebrate both the 21st anniversary of this classic musical and the 60th birthday of producer and impresario Cameron Mackintosh, Radio 2 presents a celebratory concert performance of Boublil & Schönberg's Les Misérables; to be broadcast on Radio 2 on the 21st birthday of the show itself - 8 October 2006 at 1900-2030.

Recorded the last 15th september, from the Mermaid Theater in London, the current West End cast join the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Brooker, and narrator Anthony Andrews. The show stars:

John Owen-Jones - Jean Valjean
Hans Peter Janssens - Javert
Sophia Ragavlelas - Fantine
Sabrina Aloueche - Eponine
Chris Vincent - Thenardier
Tracie Bennett - Mdm Thenardier
Jon Lee - Marius
Gina Beck - Cosette
Simon Bailey - Enjolras
Ross McCormack - Gavroche

Also, on Tuesday 10 & 17 October at 2030 on Radio 2, you can hear Michael Parkinson in conversation with Sir Cameron Mackintosh, with contributions from friends, performers and colleagues from throughout his career.

The BBC radio player's buttons don't work in Firefox. Try IE if you have it.

This is what the BBC radio column looks like to me in Safari. Which is the same in Firefox and Camino.

Oh well, I'm sure it'll pop up in the Les Miz circles eventually.

I hate Castle on a Cloud so am VERY happy it's been cut.

Three hour show into 90 minutes? Had to be a lot of cuts.

Oh I do love Jon Lee....
