Well that was a little jarring, with all those cuts, but I enjoyed it.

Please tell me that Hans DOES hit the low F in Confrontation in the normal show.

No there was no Symphonia system used. It was recorded at the Mermaid theatre with the BBC Concert Orch.

Yeah. I noticed the English horn introductory music to OMO was in a lower key. At first I was scared that the entire song would be like that.

I don't know about recording it Solstrom, but if you missed it and want to hear it, it may be on the BBC's website to listen again.

The part that sounded different was before the narrator came on. It was more fluttery and the lower key.

It's a radio program that you're hearing as it's being broadcast from the BBC, not something you just put in your CD player. I've heard people refer to first-run TV shows as "live," even if they've been taped and have gone through post-production.

Exactly. It was recorded live (hence the claim) even though it wasn't broadcast live. The BBC have been known to do the latter as well; usually with opera, though they did have a live broadcast of the ROH Sweeney Todd a few years back...
