I attended a performance at the Chatelet Theatre in Paris and... God... It's just awful ! The original version is far more powerful (for both final numbers of each act), Fantine should learn how to sing and particularly how to act (she doesn't seem to understand a word of "I dreamed a dream" and the show suffers from the loss of the turning stage. Only is the video scenery a perfect change but it doesn't make us forget the poor orchestration ! I do hope they won't close the original staging of the show for the new one !

I doubt they will, and I hope they will not. I personally love both productions, but the original is so iconic, and losing the orchestrations to these new ones, and gaining the new finale's and everything you talked about above just wouldn't be worth it.
