Les Miserables Standing Room Ticket Help

3 Friends and I are going into the city this sunday to get standing room for les mis. what time should we get there? how is the view? are the lines long? thanks to all that can help- its very much appreciated.

The first time I went two hours before, and I got a ticket. The second time I went an hour before, and I got a ticket. Not that many people want a SRO ticket.

The view is fine. Here are the only things you will miss:
1) Enjolras and Marius' entrance in Look Down on the top of the Paris set.
2) Gavroche when he mocks Javert after Stars.

Just look around for seats to grab during intermission OR, as happened with me the second time, a friendly usher escorted me and the stranger next to me to mid-center orch seats during Red & Black.

thanks so much! so getting at the theater by 10 should ensure me a seat? the view is fine? can i move to an empty seat after 30 minutes?

For the matinee? Getting there at 10 would be unnecessary. Getting there by 12 should be fine. I wanted to move to an empty seat after 30 minutes, but the ushers are constantly hovering about, and I didn't want to be caught by any unsympathetic ushers. The first act goes by quickly enough.

so getting there by 11:30 should be fine? it's for THIS sunday's matinee and ill be there with 3 friends and we really want SRO tickets for this show. do you think we can find empty seats after 35 minutes so we don't have to stand? THANKS!

Grr. I responded to your questions TWICE. Just go, take a chance because it's not that difficult to get SRO, and don't wet yourself worrying about it. What's wrong with you?

i NEED to know if les mis has SRO b/c if they don't i want to see spring awakening but if i wait at the broadhurst and they sorry no SRO then im screwed cuz the Spring awakening rush tix will be gone.

You had better start learning that in your young life.

My cousin and I tried to get SRO tix to A Chorus Line last Friday, and were the first on line at 10am, only to be told that they were not doing SRO because they weren't sold out yet. We swung back around the box office at about 1pm, and they still weren't sold out, the box office guy said that they were nowhere near close to selling out and there would be no standing room that day and we should try the lotto instead.

Hopefully that doesn't happen to you!
