Les Miserables Tour
Les Miserables Tour#0
Posted: 12/7/05 at 2:36pmDoes anyone know anything about the Les Miserables tour that is going on right now. It is playing right down the road from me in WAshington DC. I just wanted to know if anyone has heard anything about the cast and whether or not it is worth paying to see. It is the last time it will tour in this area, and even though I have seen it before, it would be nice to see again
re: Les Miserables Tour#1
Posted: 12/7/05 at 2:50pmI'm debating whether or not to see it in DC. I'll let you know what I think.

Posted: 12/7/05 at 4:49pmI recently saw it in Toronto, and I definitely would NOT pass up the chance to see it, if only to see Randall Keith as Valjean because he was amazing.
re: Les Miserables Tour#9
Posted: 12/7/05 at 5:30pmThis cast is top-notch. There is not a weak link in that cast.

Is there a website for this tour?
Who's playing Eponine?

Melissa Lyons.

Posted: 12/7/05 at 5:54pmI was thinking about catching this in DC, too. Does anyone know how well it's selling? I remember checking a few weeks ago and being quite surprised at how many seats were still available around Christmastime. Just curious as to how soon I need to decide whether or not to go.

I saw the tour about 3 weeks ago in Kansas City, MO...and a lot of them were in the final Broadway cast.
It was an incredible show!

Posted: 12/7/05 at 5:58pm***IMPORTANT*** MAKE SURE YOU CATCH RANDAL KEITH (JVJ), one of the best. Call ahead if you have to, but make sure he is in the cast! Easily the best part of the cast.
re: Les Miserables Tour#15
Posted: 12/7/05 at 5:59pmI saw this in Chicago, the first time seeing the show, and I was blown away. Randall Keith is phenomenal, and Melissa Lyons made Eponine incredibly likeable, a part I found incredibly annoying on the recording I have. The actors playing Fantine and Enroljas are standouts as well.

Posted: 12/7/05 at 6:04pmI'm looking forward to seeing Fabio Polanco as Thernardier. He's an actor and director from my area; I've worked with him a few times and he's great! I'm sure he's amazing in Les Miz.

Posted: 12/7/05 at 6:16pmOooo! I saw this cast in Toronto about 2 months ago, and it was really great- all of them. Don't miss the opportunity to see them! They were all good, but like afew people already said, Randall Keith stands out in his role as Valjean.

You can get a direct line to a box office these days?
...anyway, I want to mention that if you do get to see David Michael Felty as Valjean, you won't miss out. Randal is wonderful, but not the end-all-be-all of your Les Miz experience.

Posted: 12/7/05 at 7:59pmthe stage managers are really nice and good too. i met them in SF!
re: Les Miserables Tour#21
Posted: 12/8/05 at 3:05amThey were actually coming to New Orleans and I was going to see them, but then Katrina hit and my life has been ****ty. I saw them in Shreveport in February this year although I think the Cosette and Fantine have changed since then. I went to see Randal Keith, who is marvelous, but got the understudy (Roger Seyer I think was his name). He was good, but not as good as Randal. Pierce Peter Brandt was very good and he gave me his autograph... he was really sweet. I was shy at the stage door and he got some of the swings to sign my program because I think he felt sorry for me. :) Most of the people had left to eat by the time I got there, or else they just weren't coming out! Tonya Dixon was marvelous, but she's gone... I don't know how Joan A. is- I heard she can't belt but has a great voice (Fantine doesn't need to belt- there have been good Fantines that can't belt). Melissa Lyons was very to the letter in her part- she reminded me of lea salonga. The only thing is I hated her scream in "rue plumet attack"- it was pretty pathetic. :) Robert Hunt is great as Javert... just go see it!

Posted: 12/8/05 at 3:08amRandal usually doesn't perform at Matinees... I learned that the hard way! Get night tickets.

Yes, he does. Actually, the most frequent show he does not perform is the Thursday evening.
Besides, Roger Seyer isn't there anymore, so that's pretty much a moot point.
