I was on telecharge the other day and saw the that they were selling opening night tickets for Les miz at normal prices. Now, in my experence in the past when a show is about to open, places like telecharge and ticket master just don't sell tickets for that preformance. As in there is nothing listed for that date. Do you think that I would be able to get them or is this more likely a mistake from telecharge?
Sometimes they release some just before the date. Looks like thats whats happening.....

Same thing happened for A Chorus Line. No seats for opening night became available until a day or two before.
It almost ALWAYS happens.
will it happen for Mary Poppins?
I'm sure. That theatre is so huge.
I got mine for Les Miz on Thurs! Yay!!
curse you night class with a test on thursday!!!!
PS. count on me skipping class for Mary Poppins. Thats a definite .
That even happened for the Phantom record breaker.
I'll be in AC Thursday, so can't go....
Hoping it happens for COMPANY....
Now opening night is the whole red carpet thing with the stars. Or, is that a different day. Cus i am having an instant message with a friend of mine who tried to get on the guest list for the opening night and told me that it was impossible for it to be thrusday cus it was invite only and there is no way that they would sell general public tickets to the night when the stars were there.

Opening night is opening night. The show opens, the creatives and everyone is there. It's not necessarily a red carpet. You cannot get on the guest list for opening night but you sure can buy tickets a few days before.
I wish I would have known they were going to release these tickets a day or two before opening night. When I inquired last weekend, I was told "no tickets available for Opening Night Nov.9th, so we took Nov.8th instead. I would have loved to see the show opening night and see all the Broadway Stars etc.. that will be there. Oh well...
We ended up with first row center orchestra for Wednesday Night the 8th and when I just checked telecharge for opening night, the
only thing that is left is Mezz row K. This is way too far for me. Sorry but I'm spoiled that way. I need to be up close so it worked out for the best going tomorrow night instead bec. we have better seats.
Heh, I took that row K ticket. Soo glad anything other than the $100+ tickets was available.
Very excited.
Enjoy the show!
Sorry for thread jacking but I really do hope Mary Poppin's opening night tix will be sold. I don't mind sitting the last row of the balcony!
For those going to Les Mis Opening night, enjoy!

There is zero difference in the way the show is performed on the opening night compared to the night after or what would be a pretty much a sure bet the night before. Just stating the obvious.

Somebody review it, please...wherever your sitting...and tell us who you see in the crowd...
Will there be standing room? What are the chances?

I just got my tickets to Opening Night and I can hardly wait. I am hoping to get a glimpse of Gary Beach. What stars do you think will be there? What time do you think it is best to get to the theatre to see all the arrivals?

I hear there will be standing room after they open. Anyone else heard that? What about a Student rush? I think there was another post about boxes being cheaper and being in the action.
