So my parents are giving the option of these 2 tours for Christmas. Which one should I pick? For a hint of what my taste in theater is, here is what I like and don't like:

Liked:
Hairspray
Jekyll & Hyde
Phantom of the Opera
Wicked
The Addams Family

Didn't like:
Sister Act
Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Billy Elliot
Shrek

Thanks in advance!

Go see the crappy Les Mis tour.

The cast isn't very crappy, I hear, and certainly wasn't when I saw it but that was back in Summer, 2011.

Still, you might dig witnessing Valjean emerging from and Javert being sucked into hell's anus.

I say, goooooooooooooooooo!

Personally, I loved The Les Mis tour. (It was my first time seeing the show, so I didn't have the vaunted original production to compare it to). Definitely see that. "The Lion King" looks pretty enough, but I was underwhelmed by the puppetry and sets when I saw it on tour several years ago. Whichever you pick, enjoy it and Merry Christmas!

Les Miserables. Betsy Morgan's I Dreamed a Dream and Andrew Varela's Stars alone are worth the ticket price. Lion King is a total snooze fest. No question - see Les Miserables.

I am a fan of both choices, and based on your likes, pick Les Mis.

I havent seen Les Mis tour but it is Les Mis afterall.

I find that unless youre into interesting costumes, then Lion King is not for you, and Lion King usually only works well if you sit rather close
