"Merrily" at Signature

I was so incredibly excited to see this production when Awa Sal Secka was in the cast. I am still incredibly excited to see it, and Melanie Field is a fine choice to replace her, but damn - Awa is just so good in everything. Melanie was quite good as Emilia in STC’s recent production of Othello.Jake Loewenthal was a fabulous Motel last season, so I look forward to catching him again.

I'd be interested in an interview about how she collaborated / updated things."Her focus was updating lyrics in places where it was deemed necessary - I do know off the top of my head that she wrote some new lyrics for “Those Were The Good Old Days” and “The Game”. I believe she also made small changes throughout the score (like in “Six Months Out Of Every Year”) to reflect the new setting of the show - i...

If they don't have someone new lined up after JJ, we could be reaching the end of the road with that show. That's a new all-time high for The Lost Boys"The decline for JUST IN TIME is so interesting to me....

Solea Pfeiffer and Liisi LaFontaine to lead WANTED at the James Earl Jones this fall

Sad for DC folks who will no longer get to see her appear in Merrily this fall. She was the best part of Arena Stage’s Chez Joey and is currently absolutely stunning as Catherine in Signature’s Pippin until this Sunday.

Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 7/13/26

Yes, if you want to counter a claim, bring receipts. I said what I had been told to be true by people in the industry who have knowledge over these things. You want to argue? Go ahead, but do it with some intelligence. Not that your argument deserves any more of my time, but I'm well aware that international tourists often speak English. I'm also well aware that they often do not. Are you trying to turn this into a xenophobia thing? Do you just want a reason to be upset? Go to bed.
