Drew's in the ensemble and sings "Let's Drink to Days Gone By." I forget the character's name but it starts with a G.

Good grief.

I saw the 10/28 matinee as well, and it was my first time seeing Les Mis. Overall, I was very impressed.

My favorite was probably Celia. I thought she played Eponine beautifully, and she had such a beautiful voice. She will get even better. Alex G. was also excellent, and I know that he too will improve. But for the 6th preview, I was very impressed. They really do have a wonderfully talented cast.

And Daphne: After reading the reviews on this board, I was expecting her to be really, really bad. I was actually somewhat impressed; I thought she did a good job. Although I have never seen Les Mis before, I think she played a more subtle but still beautiful Fantine. I have a feeling that at the first preview she gave Fantine too much and realized she should play the role down a little bit. I think her Fantine was more reserved, a bit more calm. In any case, I enjoyed her performance.

Les Mis is a beautiful story, and the current cast is doing it justice. By opening night, I am sure it will truly be wonderful.

Also:

I forgot to say that Gary and Jenny were also awesome and hilarious. They master the comic relief of the show, and they are just so ridiculous (in the best of ways).

And a good stage door experience - Almost everyone came out, and they were all nice and willing to sign playbills/take pictures. :)

Did they have Posters/windowcards at the show?

"A friend of mine went to see the show this past Saturday. Is it true that Victor Hawks has gotten leaner and buffer since "Urinetown"? I know he shaved his head."

Anyone? Anyone?
