Tenorific - I love the av!
If I recall correctly, I believe that Frances Ruffelle was not approached to take part of the TAC.
That's also what I heard.
She did end up performing in a concert in Chelmsford (very similar to the TAC) a couple years later, though.

Really? I believe I read that she was but declined because of other commitments, although to be honest, I can't remember where.
ETA: Considering I only vaguely remember reading this, you should probably trust Les Miserables expert LizzieCurry on this one.

Yeah, I distinctly remember reading a statement from Frances Ruffelle that CM didn't ask her to be a part of the TAC.
At any rate, Lea Salonga did reprise Eponine in London after the TAC, and, coming to a full circle of sorts, Salonga's replacement after her limited run was none other than Frances Ruffelle.
And I think Salonga also took part of the Nat'l Tour in Hawaii.

I'm pretty sure she had her second baby shortly before the TAC, and somme people concluded that she had turned it down so she could have more time with him. I don't think that was the case, and people just assumed, because of the timing.

Oops, yes, she did -- that was 1996.

And I still pray to Vishnu, or whatever, for that.
Well I prefer Lea to Frances regardless. As many have said I do not recall Frances being asked to do it.
