Eponine was originally included in Valjean's death scene with Fantine, but was later digitally painted out.
A scene was filmed in which Valjean found out about Javert's death, but was wisely left on the cutting room floor.
There was some re-recording of singing during the opening scene due to the excessive noise with the water.
