Les Miz Tour

May I just say that the current Les Miz tour is outstanding! best I have seen it. After seeing it many times on tour and on Broadway I was amazed to see such a fresh and alive performance. Randall Kieth is probabbly the best singer I have ever heard in the role of Jean Valjean..hands down. Tonya Dixon is a wonderful Fantine..what a belter! Ma-anne Dionisio was adorable as Eponine but I must say the only draw back to the show was Josh Young. He seemed very nervous as Marius and looked and sounded like an overated high school superstar lead. He is new to the cast so I am sure his performance will improve it and of course I might have just seen an off night. But wow if you are still looking to see a fresh and alive Les Miz performance for old time sake..GO! AMAZING...what does everyone else think of the current cast?

Do you work for Broadway in Boston or for the Les Miz company itself?

Wow, shills are not even trying to hide it anymore.

You must've just seen him on an off night. I saw Les Mis in Westpoint and Josh was the highlight of the show. Your review was the first I've heard that criticized Josh. Most everyone else loved him. I've seen Les Mis 8 times and Josh was by far one of the best Marii I've seen. He's second only to Peter Lockyer.

Hey vultures! Do ya think, that this poster (whom ever he/she is), just might have enjoyed the cast... a lot? Come on, at this point why would anyone be a shill for a show that ran forever and closed on Bd'w and the tour is in it's final legs. Do ya think you can peck at another piece of roadkill for a change LOL!

"Mizbiz?" Sure, I suppose. But I honestly didn't ask that question as an attack, just for point of clarity. I'd love to hear Mizbiz's take on, well, the business. As a theater professional, of course.

I doubt anyone would really need to shill Les Miz. Besides, it's not like similar stuff has been said (and in a teenage-seeming voice like this one, no less) on the lesmiz LiveJournal community...or on Josh Young's message board, either. re: re: Les Miz Tour

Unless of course there's a need to sell tickets and to remind people that there is still an Equity national tour?

You'd have a point if the initial poster had actually mentioned Equity.

Would deffinetly have to agree with mizbiz on Josh...does not fit the role. Josh Youn does not look the role number 1 and is not that good looking either. The wig was way to big and looked totally foolish on him. His voice was fine but had no real drive for the role. Where the heck are the Stephen Brian Patterson's and the Kevin Kerns??

I agree, Kevin Kern was a great Marius in Les Miz. Very good for the role. =)

Really, I guess someone can't like a show a lot these days. If you are going to tell this person that...go down to the wicked post and other opinions and tell them that they must work for the show!

Jessica left? Sad. I thought she was a wonderful Eponine. I hope to catch the tour again soon now that John-Andrew Clark is Enjolras. :)

"Jessica left? Sad."

She left in the early summer to be replaced by the far superior Nicole Riding.
