Posted: 6/9/14 at 2:48pmI thought of this thread this past Friday night at Pippin where the merch guy I bought my program from was so cute it hurt! This thread gave me the courage to (for the first time in my life) be flirty. Might've taken things further if I didn't live 8 hours away!

OP, since you work in theater, is there someone you know who might know this fellow? That way, you can find out whether he's (1) available; and (2) interested in guys.
If the answer is "yes" to both, then go for it knowing that you're not violating any etiquette rules. As an older, straight female, I was limited by the conventional rules that girls didn't ask boys out. Although it had improved somewhat when I became single again at 35, I still didn't feel right asking my (eventual) husband out -- I threw lots of hints to get him to ask me out.
If this fellow available and dates men, go for it, GOOD LUCK, and have a great time. I hope it blossoms.
